The REMEDIOS AIDS FOUNDATION, INC. in cooperation with POSITIVE ACTION FOUNDATION PHIL. and PINOY PLUS ASSOCIATION celebrates Candlelight Memorial Celebration on Sunday, May 19, 2002 from 6:00 -9:00 pm.
The Philippines together with more than 1500 communities will be joining around the world in this celebration which is the largest grassroots AIDS event in the world.
The theme "SHARE YOUR VISION FOR A BRIGHTER TOMORROW" for the "2002 International AIDS Candlelight Memorial focuses on establishing "personal vision" in honor of those who have been touched by HIV/AIDS.
Every year the Candlelight AIDS Memorial is an opportunity for all members of the community to come together and talk about how HIV/AIDS has impacted in their lives, honor the memory of those lost to AIDS, show support for those living with HIV/AIDS, and mobilized community involvement in the fight against HIV/ AIDS.
This year's Candlelight celebration features messages from the government, non-government, persons living with HIV/AIDS ( PHA) and family members of PHAs. The activity will be highlighted by the conduct of the Lotus Ceremony featuring quilt panels from the Philippines. This is a memorial service for those who have died from complications of AIDS.
This event is another opportunity to once again highlights our unwavering support for our clients.
