Majority of the new infection worldwide occurred among young people due to lack of correct/factual information and services. Today, more and more young people are vulnerable to HIV/AIDS. Hence, it is important that HIV/AIDS prevention will also focus among adolescents and young adults. In celebrating World AIDS Day in Cebu City, it is important that NGOs and GOs actively collaborate and consolidate effort to be able to stir public consciousness and awareness on the issue and the social impact of HIV/AIDS. With our local celebration of World AIDS Day, it is hoped that this year's campaign will be strengthened and that we will be able to have a coordinated, sustained and determined local response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
