GETTING OLD IN THE NGO IMPLEMENTING AIDS PROGRAMS
BUT GETTING YOUNGER IN IDEAS AND APPROACHES
TO ADDRESSING THE EPIDEMIC LOCALLY
ISSUE:
Contention of many people is to land a good and high paying
job. Most people look for lucrative and financially rewarding job and this
will help them in reaching their goal in life. This is not true in all
aspects and not true to all people. Getting into a job means receiving
a good pay. These jobs maybe white collars or skilled work.
DISCUSSION:
Getting a job mean differently to different people. There
are many committed people and they look for a different kind of job.
Something that has social relevance, not financially rewarding but the
accomplishment is different. People like these are people or client
centered, they like to serve people and they love to meet, talk and work with
people. The authors of t his abstract have been into NGO AIDS work for
the past ten years now. They feel so old because they had been in the
job for a decade. Since they love to work with people, meet with people
and share ideas, they get to learn more new bright, innovative ideas in
planning and implementing strategies to addressing HIV/AIDS in their
locality. In doing the job people are involve, thus the success of one is
the success of all.
CONCLUSION:
No man is an island. People need to communicate with other
people. Stakeholders including target beneficiaries should be working
together, talking together, planning together to get ideas on how to
address AIDS in their locality. Work as a team, then you will not feel old
but rather young in ideas and approaches
